Gabrielle K. Gabrielli, Ph.D., is a very active SCUBA instructor with Divers Alert Network and Handicapped Scuba Association, plus a course director with Scuba Educators International. She is an award-winning author, leadership coach, speaker, evaluator, and trainer. Plus, she is the executive director at Life Worth Leading, her 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that uses outdoor activities, including SCUBA diving and cycling, to benefit people with disabilities, including wounded veterans. Dr. Gabrielli earned her doctoral degree in educational psychology and learning systems- instructional systems from Florida State University, her master’s degree in mass communication, media communication, and marketing research (also from FSU), and her bachelor’s degree in communication with an emphasis on journalism from Florida A&M University. She has logged over 3,200 dives and admits to having a “SCUBAddiction.” 🙂 She is returning next month to the Galápagos Islands for the 3rd time to dive. Gabrielle is passionate about teaching, learning, diving, conservation, animals, and travel. She has visited 88 countries and scuba-dived in most of them. She is trilingual and is working on learning a 4th language now. Dr. Gabrielli is involved with aviation, animal rescue (she has fostered out and adopted over 890 pets), and classic cars. She promotes stewardship, believes that all people, regardless of differences, should be treated with dignity and respect, says that time is the most valuable commodity, and lives by the philosophy that life is a gift to be enjoyed – find your passion and live it!
